There is a simple next step. Ask Jesus into your heart, so you can be safe and have peace.

Ask Him into your heart

Pray a prayer of repentance and faith. It does not have to be perfect. Say it from a sincere heart.

  1. 1. Confess your need

    Admit that you are a sinner, and that you need God’s forgiveness.

  2. 2. Repent

    Turn away from your sins, and be willing to change your life.

  3. 3. Believe in Jesus

    Believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died on the cross for your sins, and that He rose from the dead.

  4. 4. Invite Jesus in

    Ask Him to come into your heart and life, to be your Lord and Savior, and to guide you.

  5. 5. Confess with your mouth

    Say it out loud, so you can hear yourself.

A prayer you can say

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.

After you pray

  • Sincerity matters more than perfect words. Pray it because you mean it, not because you said it the right way.
  • Salvation is a new way of living. You become a new creation in Christ Jesus.
  • Next, find a church and be baptized. That is a further step in this new life.
