Learn how to pray

David shows us. In Psalm 18 he prays to the Lord. In Psalm 16 he praises Him.

Psalm 18. David’s prayer

He tells God that he loves Him. He names God as his rock, his fortress, and his deliverer. Then he calls on the Lord out loud, and praises Him.

Psalm 16. David’s praise

This is the other psalm. David sets the Lord always before him. His heart is glad. He trusts God with his life, and he finds fullness of joy in God’s presence.

How I pray

David shows the pattern. This is the prayer I say. I ask the Lord to use me. Then I pray for the people I know, the ones who have died, the pets still with us, and the animals who are gone.

Oh Lord, hear my prayer. I pray to You today for Your will. Take me as Your vessel for Your will. Bless me with Your grace and Your wisdom. I want to pray to You for all the people in my life that I know. I pray that You hear them. Heal them spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally. I pray that You use them for vessels for Your will, and send them archangels and guardian angels to protect them. Lord, I also pray for the people who are not with us anymore, and that You watch over them and protect them. And Lord, I pray for the pets in our lives, and that You protect them and watch over them, and heal them from any sickness and pain and discomfort. And Lord, I pray for the animals who are not with us anymore, and that You guide them to heaven. And moreover, watch over all of us. You are a truly blessed and wise Lord. Give us the blessings. Thank You, Lord, for Your many blessings, peace, and prosperity. May I thrive and spread the word in Your name. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
